Recommended pressing methods

Settings vary by press, film, ink, paper, and local conditions. Run one test unit and record your shop’s dial-in.

Convection oven + shrink film (best for even wraps)

• Temp: 180–190°C

• Time: 6–8 minutes

• Prep: Clean surface with isopropyl alcohol; wrap print tightly; apply heat-resistant tape; sleeve with shrink film and heat-shrink evenly.

• Tip: Rotate once halfway if your oven has hot spots.

Tumbler/mug press (two-pass method)

• Temp: 175–185°C

• Time: 60–90 seconds per pass

• Pressure: Firm, even

• Steps: Press first pass with seam facing out; rotate 180°; press second pass.

• Tip: Use a silicone pad to ensure contact near the base and shoulder.

Artwork sizing guide

• Width (full wrap): Bottle circumference + 3–5 mm bleed

• Height: Measurable straight-wall height minus 3–4 mm from top threads and base radius

• Seam strategy: Use a solid colour bar or pattern overlap of 2–3 mm to hide joins

• File setup: 300 dpi, CMYK-aware workflow with your ICC profile; mirror before printing

Pro tips to avoid failures

• Faded bottom or top: Increase contact using a silicone wrap/pad; preheat press; ensure full pressure at edges.

• Ghosting/shadowing: Lock artwork with extra tape, use light adhesive spray, and avoid shifting during transfer.

• Uneven colour: Check oven circulation; rotate mid-bake; don’t over-shrink one side of the film.

• Orange peel: Overbake or excessive pressure; reduce time slightly and confirm paper release.

Care & safety

• Hand-wash only. Prolonged dishwasher cycles can damage the coating and print.

• Not microwave-safe. Metal construction.

• Single-wall: Bottle will sweat with cold drinks and get hot with very hot liquids; use a sleeve if needed.

• Do not dry-heat empty in any press or oven.
