How the Clear Case and Aluminium Insert Work Together

The clear plastic case does two things. First, it gives the decoration its star shape and provides the hanging loop for the tree. Second, it protects and frames the sublimated aluminium insert once assembly is complete. The aluminium insert is the sublimatable surface. You press your design onto the insert before placing it inside the case. Since the plastic case does not enter the heat press, it stays clear and undistorted throughout the process.

This two-part construction makes the decoration practical for crafters. You can press a batch of inserts, then assemble them into cases as orders come in. Because the clear case frames the insert without obscuring it, the sublimated design is fully visible from the front.
